The hotel is in a stunning location in St Martin's Church. It's just a 20-minute walk from the Queens Inn, where I enjoyed some drinks. the standard room was equipped with wake-up service.

We liked the friendly and welcoming reception. All service was fast and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were very approachable. Excellent catering. Very comfortable en suite room. Closeness of bus service made getting round very easy.

Most impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel throughout and our rooms in particular. Also every member of staff was cheerful, helpful and efficient. The food in the restaurant was so good that we virtually changed from Bed and Breakfast to Half Board.

Perfect location for cliff walks and a choice of beaches within walking distance. Very helpful and charming staff who knew the area well and were able to offer good advice. The self catering apartment was comfortable and clean and well suited for a family holiday, (only room available when we booked). Good hot water supply and kitchen generally well equipped. Excellent food in the restaurant.
Nothing springs to mind!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food, clean rooms. A really excellently organised place, very efficient staff, nothing too much trouble for them. A quiet place to stay, and with Guernsey's good bus service very accessible for touring around. Good walks also on the doorstep. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
We had a standard room, ground level. The double bed very comfortable, but an awful polyester quilt was the covering. Being ground level, could hear any one moving in the room above, also the waterworks seemed very noisy, but they have a problem with small pipes apparently, which the water authorities won't resolve.

I had a wonderful stay at the Barbarie Hotel. Unfortunately I had to leave early due to a family situation, still I had two weeks I enjoyed a lot. Most certainly I will return, it's a refuge. Even travelling alone I felt welcome, which is not self-evident in most of the hotels. Thanks a lot to all the staff for taking any effort to contribute to wonderful holidays.

This small, friendly hotel offers the most amazing menu and the dinner we had there was well presented and tasted wonderful. Even the scrambled eggs for breakfast were made to look special!

Nicely located in the south east of the island with the bus to and from "Town" stopping right outside. Attentive and efficient service throughout. The excellent restaurant is clearly a favourite with locals as much as with residents - it's well managed and provides meals of a consistently high standard, with a good selection of wines to match.
The room would have benefited from a little more drawer space.
